A plow sails through soil, turning packed dirt into fertile farmland. Making an indent with intent. A conscious cut and manipulating mark. The new groove facilitates the pre-existing nature, optimizing its conditions for the planned purpose. It flows with the surface, up and down it goes, on plains and in hills. Tracing the previous, but serving as a division between the Now and the Then. The solid had a story – now it tells a new one. Striated with furrows, the soil is now ready to be the object of the action of the sowing of the seed.
